I've been around for 41 years and seen the market do all kinds of crazy crap. In the middle of it, I've been laid off multiple times. Now I have kids, and that's scarier.

How can we deal with this and become stronger?

Making your money strong means setting up your finances so they survive tough times and grow during them.

First, some common-sense advice: Live below your means and don't buy stuff you really don't need, especially if you can't afford it.

Here's how you can do it:

Spread Out Your Money

  • Invest in Different Things: Don't put all your money in one place. Invest in different things like stocks, real estate, and savings accounts. This way, if one thing loses value, you have other things to rely on.
